Hi, I’m Miss Cat! I am a Speech-Language Pathologist here in Louisville.

I've spent my career working in public schools with students of all ages and abilities, as well as in early intervention and specialized preschool settings. I'm thrilled to bring that experience to Happy Talk Song and Sign classes. I believe some of the best communication growth happens through music, movement, and play, and I'm passionate about creating a warm, fun environment where families and little ones can build early language skills together. I can't wait to sing, sign, and grow with your family!

  • Happy Talk is a joyful music and language enrichment class designed for babies and toddlers. Through singing, movement, play, and sensory activities, little ones have fun while building early communication skills. Classes are designed by speech-language pathologists and created to give children and their grown-ups a fun way to connect, learn, and grow together. 💛

  • Our Tinies classes are designed for babies approximately 5–24 months, while Tots classes are designed for toddlers approximately 24–36 months. These age ranges are guidelines rather than strict cutoffs, because every child develops at their own pace! If you're not sure which class is the best fit for your little one, feel free to reach out—we're happy to help.

  • Get ready to sing, move, play, explore, and connect! 🎵 Happy Talk classes combine music, movement, sensory play, and opportunities for early communication in a playful, engaging environment. Tinies have time for open play as families arrive and settle in, while Tots begin with sensory play before moving into the structured portion of class. Then it's time for approximately 30 minutes of songs and activities designed to keep little ones learning through play!

  • Not at all! Happy Talk is designed for little ones at a variety of stages of communication development. Your child can participate through looking, listening, moving, playing, making sounds, gesturing, or using words. Every little one is welcome to join in at their own pace. 💕

  • Yes! Happy Talk is a shared experience for little ones and their grown-ups. You'll have the opportunity to sing, move, play, and interact with your child throughout class. Your participation helps make the experience even more meaningful—and often even more fun! 🎶💛

  • Happy Talk is not individual speech therapy. It is a music and language enrichment class that brings early communication strategies into playful activities. Classes are designed by speech-language pathologists and give families fun opportunities to support communication through music, movement, and play.

    If you have specific concerns about your child's speech or language development, Happy Talk classes aren't a replacement for an individual evaluation or therapy. We encourage families to talk with their pediatrician or a qualified speech-language pathologist.
